Had a GREAT time tonight at Savannah Fashion Week 2014!! Despite the dampness the rain of the last few days created, Forysth Park proved to be a perfect backdrop for this runway show and was absolutely buzzing with excitement. I was there shooting first for Savannah Magazine’s VIP Party, then, as I had also obtained a press pass on my own before I got the Savannah Mag gig, shot the runway show for myself.
The show opened with Savannah’s own Project Runway star, April Johnston. Her Mangled Courtesan collection showed a surprising departure from her signature black with pops of white and even a bold red gown. Some of my other favorites to walk the runway were the exquisite gowns by Cate Lyon and Bluebelle. Red Clover’s casual wear, and Satchel’s bags were great statement pieces to complement uber cute outfits. As always, the show concluded with Zia as the spectacular finale featuring tribal, expressive jewelry. Overall, it was an incredible show, especially as there were so many beautiful ladies that looked like they belonged on a New York runway!! Anyway, without further ado, here are a few of my favorites from each designer.
